RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag reports that the Randolph Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday night.

At approximately 7:20 p.m., Randolph Police received multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired and that a person had been shot in the area of 8 Sunset Dr.

Upon arrival, police located a 25-year-old Randolph man suffering from two gunshot wounds to the leg. The man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. He does not live where the shooting occurred.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was targeted and that this was not a random act of violence.
