*UPDATE* Randolph Police Arrest Second Suspect In Connection to Armed Robbery Near Johnson Drive

RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag reports that the Randolph Police Department on Friday afternoon arrested a second suspect in connection to the armed robbery that occurred near Johnson Drive.

ELIEZER BEATO, AGE 20, OF MALDEN, was arrested and charged with:

  • Armed Robbery (Firearm)
  • Malicious Destruction of Property
  • Resisting Arrest 

SHAUN CULBREATH-ISLES, AGE 18, OF MALDEN, was arrested and charged with:

  • Armed Robbery
  • Possession of a Firearm without FID Card
  • Possession of a Burlgarious Tool
  • Receiving Stolen Property (8x)

On Monday, May 13, Randolph Police responded to the area of Johnson Drive for a report of an armed robbery where two suspects allegedly robbed a person in a vehicle while armed with a black revolver. No injuries were reported during the incident.

One suspect, an 18-year-old Malden man, later identified as CULBREATH-ISLES, was taken into custody by Randolph Police following a foot pursuit. The suspect allegedly stole jewelry and a cell phone from the victim. He was arrested in possession of stolen checks. 

A second suspect, later identified as BEATO, fled the scene on foot. After a search of the area, police were unable to locate BEATO. 

Through a subsequent investigation, Randolph Police identified BEATO as the second suspect allegedly involved in the armed robbery.

On Friday, May 17, Randolph Police and Malden Police arrested BEATO at a residence known to him on Warren Avenue in Malden. During a search of his person police seized eight stolen checks. 

BEATO was transported to the Randolph Police Department where he was booked and later transported to Quincy District Court. He was arraigned Friday afternoon. 

As part of the investigation, Police executed a search warrant at BEATO‘s Malden residence located on Bryant St.
