RANDOLPH — Chief William Pace reports that the Randolph Police Department is investigating several incidents of vandalism to motor vehicles that took place Monday night.

At approximately 6 a.m. Tuesday, Randolph Police received a report from a resident that multiple vehicles had been spray painted in the parking lot of the Liberty Place apartment complex.

Other reports subsequently came in about similar vandalism to vehicles on North Street, Vesey Road, Beverly Circle and McDevitt Road. As of Tuesday afternoon there had been about 20 vehicles reported damaged. The area where the vandalism occurred was between North Main and North streets.

One vehicle had 666 spray painted on it and another was painted with a swastika. Two other vehicles were keyed. The rest of the vehicles had black spray paint sprayed along the sides and trunks of the vehicles.

The vehicles appear to have been randomly selected.

The incidents are under investigation and anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area last night is asked to call the Randolph Police Department at 781-963-1212.

In addition, residents who believe they are a victim of vandalism should report it to the police.
