Randolph Police Department Celebrating Centennial Year

RANDOLPH — Chief Anthony Marag is pleased to announce that the Randolph Police Department is celebrating its Centennial year and will be reflecting on the department’s history throughout 2024.

From the 1800s through 1923, Randolph was served by a constabulary. In 1924 the Randolph Police Department was officially created.

In celebration of its 100th year, the department will share information from past decades each month, including historical facts and features about the department, and general details and happenings from the community during that decade.

The information will be shared on the following platforms:

Community members are also encouraged to get involved by submitting photos or stories they may have featuring the police department through the years. Those who wish to submit photos can do so here. Community submissions may be used by the department in social media posts to celebrate the past 100 years.

The department’s recognition of its 100th year will culminate with a private event in November.

“We are looking forward to celebrating the past 100 years and reflecting on how our department and community has progressed and grown,” Chief Marag said. “We are also excited to share stories from our history with our community members, as well as hear their stories about our department through the years.”
