Randolph Police Investigating Shooting

RANDOLPH — Police Chief William Pace reports that the Randolph Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that left one man with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police believe that the victim and suspects were known to each other and that this was not a random act of violence.

Police responded to a location on Alfred Terrace at 7:28 p.m. Monday for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers found a 19-year-old Randolph man who had been shot in the upper leg. The suspect was treated at the scene and transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton with injuries that are considered serious but not life-threatening.

A second man who was with the victim was not injured.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was shot while riding in a motor vehicle. The victim and second man bailed out of the vehicle on Mill Street and made their way to Alfred Terrace.

Officers located a firearm on Moulton Terrace and observed three males running from that location. Investigators also found a quantity of marijuana at the scene on Alfred Terrace.

The Randolph Police Department is actively investigating this incident. Anyone with any information or who may have seen something suspicious is asked to call the police department at 781-963-1212.
