Randolph Police to Participate in the Pink Patch Project

RANDOLPH — Chief William Pace is pleased to announce that the Randolph Police Department will be participating in the Pink Patch Project by selling pink uniform patches in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Originating in southern California, the Pink Patch Project is a collaborative effort between public safety agencies throughout the county designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support cancer research organizations.

Beginning in October, Randolph Police will be selling a pink version of the department’s uniform patch for $10 each, payable by check or money order. Checks should be made out to, “Randolph Police Department: Pink Patch Project.”

All patch sale proceeds will be donated to Boston hospitals that provide care for patients battling breast cancer. Randolph Police plan to assist the hospitals with purchasing items used during treatment to make patients more comfortable, such as heated blankets, lotion, headwear and other items.

Those who wish to purchase a patch can do so at the Randolph Police Records Department during business hours, as well as at dispatch or by mail, by sending a check to:

In addition to selling the department patches, Randolph Police officers will have the option of wearing it as part of their uniform during October and November.

“We are so honored to participate in this campaign to help raise awareness and provide some comfort to those battling this terrible disease,” Chief Pace said. “Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer and we want to do everything we can to make a difference in those people’s lives.”
