RANDOLPH — Chief William Pace reports that the second suspect wanted in connection with a Randolph Police Department investigation into illegal firearms in the community has been apprehended.

MARCOS SILVEIRA, AGE 22, OF BROCKTON surrendered today at Quincy District Court.

SILVEIRA and another man, DARIUS BASS, AGE 22, OF BOSTON, face a number of weapons charges. BASS was arrested Jan. 6 after he and SILVEIRA were identified by police officers investigating a previous shooting incident in Randolph. That shooting remains under investigation.

Each suspect faces the following charges:

  • Possession/Carrying a Firearm (Two Counts)
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Two Counts)
  • Unlawful Possession of a High Capacity Magazine
  • Unlawful Possession of Ammunition (Two Counts)

The suspects will return to court in February.

These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
