The Traffic/Special Operations Unit conducts enforcement and analysis in areas where motor vehicle complaints (both moving violations and parking complaints) are fielded. Other duties include parking enforcement, taking enforcement action for Town of Randolph by-laws for junk vehicles, conducting background checks on solicitors/hackney licenses and issuing those licenses/permits. The Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement officer is a member of the traffic unit and will conduct inspections and enforce all commercial motor vehicle law as appropriate.
Motorcycle and Bicycle Officers fall under the Traffic/Special operations Unit.
