RANDOLPH — Chief William Pace reports that the Randolph Police Department arrested a man and woman on drug and firearm charges Tuesday.
RAYIAM RUFFEN-DURAN, AGE 31, OF BOSTON, and JADA NOEL-GARCIA, AGE 25, OF DORCHESTER were each charged with:
- Trafficking in Fentanyl
- Possession to Distribute Cocaine
- Illegal Possession of a Firearm
- Illegal Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device
- Illegal Possession of Ammunition
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at approximately 8:15 a.m., Randolph Police officers responded to a report of a disturbance at the Comfort Inn, located at 1374 N. Main St.
While speaking with the two parties involved, later identified to be RUFFEN-DURAN and NOEL-GARCIA, detectives observed evidence of drug distribution. Detectives subsequently applied for and were granted a search warrant for the room RUFFEN-DURAN and NOEL-GARCIA occupied.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers located and seized approximately 90 grams of fentanyl, cocaine packaged for sale, a .45 caliber handgun with a high capacity magazine and ammunition.
RUFFEN-DURAN and NOEL-GARCIA were arraigned today in Quincy District Court.
According to the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office, the defendants entered pleas of not guilty. RUFFEN-DURAN’s bail was revoked and he was ordered held without bail on two open cases in the Dorchester District Court, and an additional $50,000 cash bail was imposed on the Randolph charges. NOEL-GARCIA was ordered held on $5,000 cash bail. Both defendants were ordered returned to the Quincy District Court on Jan. 8, 2021 for a probable cause hearing.
These are allegations. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
