RANDOLPH — Chief William Pace reports that the Randolph Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place this afternoon.
At approximately 1:40 p.m. Saturday, police responded to the area of Christopher Road and Chestnut Street for a report of gunshots.
A 20-year-old Randolph man was transported by friends to a local hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Ballistic evidence was recovered from the scene.
At this time, police do not believe that the incident was random and it remains under active investigation. Anyone who may have information about the incident is asked to call the Randolph Police Department at 781-963-1212.
