Randolph Police Arrest Middle School Student Who Allegedly Wrote Note on Wall Threatening Violence

RANDOLPH — Chief William Pace reports that a female student was arrested Thursday afternoon after she allegedly wrote a note threatening violence aimed at Randolph Middle School on a wall of the school.

The JUVENILE FEMALE, AGE 12, is charged with Making a Public Threat. She will be arraigned at Quincy Juvenile Court at a later date. Because she is a juvenile, her identity will not be released.

At approximately 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24, Randolph Police received a report that someone had written a threatening note on a wall at Randolph Middle School.

Through the subsequent investigation, the JUVENILE FEMALE was identified as the person who allegedly wrote on the wall and she was arrested without incident. She was later released into the custody of her mother.

Police determined that the threat was not credible and school was dismissed in the normal fashion.

A message was sent out to parents from the Randolph Public Schools superintendent’s office notifying parents of the incident.

Chief Pace would like residents to know that all school threats will be taken seriously and that student safety is one of the department’s top priorities.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
